AAA Tidewater Virginia accepts online requests for road service 24-hours a day so you can be confident your service request will be handled promptly. On the service request form you will be asked for the following information:
- The location of the disabled vehicle - the name of the street and the nearest city are required to process the request.
- The type of service needed (flat tire, dead battery, keys locked in car, etc.)
- The description of the disabled vehicle.
- How to contact you or the person attending to the vehicle.

- * AAA Basic, AAA Plus, and AAA Plus RV® members receive up to 4 (four) service calls annually, per member.

- A AAA tow truck driver will drive as far as necessary to get to you - at no charge. If we can't get the vehicle running, we'll tow you to your desired destination. AAA Plus and AAA Plus RV members choose where they want their car towed up to 100 miles, AAA Premier members up to 200 miles. Basic members can be towed to the contract facility rendering service or elsewhere within five miles at no charge. Additional mileage is charged on the scene at special discounted AAA rates.

Types of Road Service
Mechanical First Aid
Minor adjustments, not requiring parts or supplies, will be made in an effort to enable your vehicle to operate under its own power. It probably will not be possible to make an accurate diagnosis at the scene; the vehicle should be taken immediately to a place of repair.
Flat Tire Service
In the case of a flat tire, your inflated spare tire will be installed on the vehicle. When no inflated spare is readily available, the Towing Service policy will apply.
Fuel Delivery
AAA will deliver a supply of fuel to members who run out. AAA Basic members pay prevailing pump prices while AAA Plus, AAA Plus RV and AAA Premier members receive fuel sufficient to get to a service station at no cost.
Locksmith Service
If you lock your keys inside your vehicle, AAA will send service in an attempt to gain entry. If the attempt fails, the Towing Service policy will apply. AAA Plus, AAA Plus RV provides reimbursement of up to $100 in parts and labor for the expense of a locksmith. AAA Premier provides reimbursement of up to to $150.
Extrication/Winching
This service is provided to a vehicle on or immediately adjacent to an improved city county or state road, and only when it can be safely reached and serviced with standard equipment used by the servicing facility. One man and one wrecker will provided at AAA's expense. AAA Plus, AAA Plus RV and AAA Premier members get a second tow truck, if needed, at no extra charge.
Reimbursement
If AAA Service is not available or AAA contractor access is restricted (toll roads, limited access highway) AAA will provide reimbursement for covered services at the prevailing commercial rate for the region. If you don't have your card with you, AAA will still provide the help you need, but you may be charged for it. However, you may qualify for reimbursement if you get a receipt in your name.
If AAA service was available, but not requested, reimbursement may be limited to the amount AAA would normally have paid for the covered services/Reimbursement request must be submitted within 60 days of service for consideration. Please send in a copy of the original receipt in the member's name, indicating the date, from a repair facility (not an individual) listing the road service portion along with a brief note of explanation and membership number.
