On the Boardwalk
Atlantic City, NJ
2 Days / 1 Night
The Boardwalk has been called the heart, soul and backbone of Atlantic City. Originally built to control the problem of too much sand, the current Boardwalk is 60 feet wide and 6 miles long. Maintaining the original city ordinance, all hotels, restaurants and shops are situated on one side of the Boardwalk with the Amusement Piers on the other side. For visitors interested in learning more about the history of the Boardwalk, the Boardwalk Walking Tour is a perfect option. Stroll the length of the great wooden way and learn why the Boardwalk was built and what makes it so unique. If strolling is too tame, hire a bike at one of the plenty bike rental vendors.
Exciting development along the Boardwalk includes the fabulous Pier Shops at Caesars with over seventy eight specialty stores and seven feature restaurants. If you tire of shopping, head to the third floor, with panoramic floor to ceiling windows, where you can kick back in Adirondack chairs with your feet in the sand to enjoy the best sunset views in the city.
Most recently, the Chelsea hotel opened on the Boardwalk as a wonderful reminder of the heyday of "America’s Playground" as a sophisticated seaside resort. This intimate retreat offers two signature Stephen Starr restaurants, a salt water inspired spa and a pristine beach with the only full beach service in Atlantic City. From the intimacy of the Game Room to the retro cocktail culture of the Terrace Lounge, the Chelsea recalls the glamour of the past with modern conveniences.
Teplitzky's is opened Thursday through Sunday, therefore this Getaway can only be booked for arrivals on Wednesday through Saturday.
